So we got our residence assignments today and i was assigned to Matthews Hall, I understand this is the wellness and halycon house. What exactly does this mean? (the whole rez has to be quiet at all times).

Its an awesome res. I loved the layout of flooring, and games room, etc. In my year, majority were engineers, so that was fun
On the bad side - theres no a/c :(

I lived in matthews last year and the noise regulations were exactly the same as any of the other residences.

Yeah, A is one side and B is the other.
Theres no special rules for matthews, same as other res' in that way.

i've been reading some past '09 threads and i see that the washroom situation is fairly complicated due to the building structure....

Residence portal unavailable?
Can anyone tell me why the residence portal is ALWAYS unavailable?
I've been attempting to log in but it only gives me this memo:
Either your session has timed out or you are not currently logged in.
It's irritating me, i want to know what sort of residence i'm in. Thank you

i had to continuously try to sign in before i could get in. it's cause the system is overloaded from all the people trying to log on to find out there residence information. just keep trying, you should get on soon
