I should definetely try that next year (hoping to b in the IRC xD). Can't wait to move in, although I have nothing packed... does a list of stuff to pack count? LOL Welcome Week and moving in are going to be awesome.
My mom just told me today how she's going to cry when I move in... awkward 5 minutes in the kitchen HAHA

Its more awkward when she crying/hugging you in front of your roommates and their families.

Hmm, you never know, you might see them in that situation before you're put in it

Two things for two different people.
Anson, no stress. Your mom won't be the only one crying. It won't be awkward. Just console her and be the awesome guy that you are. =)
Second thing, parents never show it until the day of. My mom was all like "yeah! finally, she's leaving. I'll have some silence in this house for once!" Yeah, she bawled on the day I moved in and for about a month. They may seem all cool now but when it comes down to the date they're like uh oh our kid is leaving the nest!

And yes, I shall console her LOL I guess it might be because I'm the only child?

I live in a village of 2700ish but in a township of 10 000. So I know how you feel! Our community has a re-use center though...maybe you could look up where ones close to you are located in the phonebook?

That's actually my room in my old place...I haven't moved into my new one quite yet.
But the obnoxious furniture is coming!

aww... :( Luu, are you an international student??
My parents are sad that i'm going, but they know it's only an hour away. The way they see it, I could have went to Waterloo and then I'd actually never see them. aha.
I'm keep on thinking I'm packed... but I'm actually not... It's so bad...

Haha, I'm in the same situation. I feel like I'm already packed and it wouldn't take me an hour to pack everything else. But in reality, I haven't done anything =O. I feel so bad, and there's like 12 days
Same. It's a bus ride away, not that big of a deal, but adjusting to it is definitely something I'm NOT looking forward to :(
