To be honest, I wouldn't. You're very very low on the list. It's highly unlikely, even impossible that you'll get a spot in September, or even in second semester. I would start looking for houses ASAP!!

Lol yeah like Sara said, I wouldn't have hope either.
As much as we always say you can never be sure, it depends on the number of people dropping out of res, etc, the chance of 227 people dropping out of residence in the last two weeks of August is virtually zero.

most of the 227 people ahead of you probably found off campus housing, I wouldnt be surprised if another 150 drop out

It is highly unlikely that you will get a spot in res at this point, as there is only a week until move in. The reason you are moving up on the list is because people on the wait list have found off campus housing, not because a lot of people are dropping out of residence in the last minute.

Exactly. I work in residence life and I can certainly tell you that 42 spots won't magically open up with 42 students leaving their residence spot in the last week of August. Maybe 5-10, but not 42 :(

Pre checked housing
Hey Sara we checked out some houses which were pretty good, if there are people still in need of houses you could send them my way, thanks

There are at least 14 vacancies in res. I'm dropping out of Mac because I don't believe it's the right fit for me, and they told me that. How many of you still have hope for res? I have to keep paying until my vacancy is filled.
