What will it say on my degree?
What will it say on my degree if I take a Honours B.A. program in Economics -- will it say Honours on it or just B.A., and will it state my program? Also, if I have a minor, will it be printed on the degree? While I'm at it, if I get a combined Honours what will it say? Thx.

To my knowledge, it says your program as is on your transcript, and whether you have honours or not (like Honours Biology for example). This is just from looking at other people's though.

Ok, I got 2 serious replies. One said it does have the program on it, but wasn't sure, and the other imagines it will be similar to the UBC degree. Does someone really know the answer to this question?
I have googled but didn't find a Mac degree yet. The google images were mixed - some had the the program on it and some did not. IRL I've seen both variations as well.
Thx.

Just call the registrar office, they will know. I'm pretty sure the minor doesn't go on.

Pretty sure it just says Bachelor of.. no program. That's based on what a few people who graduated this year said.

if you are in honours it should say honours... they are two different programs... honours is usually a year longerand requires a higher avergae to get in... so i dont see the point of working harder for an extra year just to get the identical piece of paper as teh other program

It's the added experience of research and the skills you get if you choose a research project or thesis in 4th year. Pretty much unofficially required as experience for grad schools!

Wait another few year till you graduate and read off the paper. Thats the best suggestion I could give you. if you are sure of what you are doing you won't need to worry about what is written on a piece of really expensive paper.
