Scholarships and Bursaries
Are you able to put your scholarship and bursary money towards residence and meal plan or does it only cover costs of tuition?

I beleive the scholarship money can only go towards the deduction of your tuition fees.

The cost of residence, tuition, and meal plan is all summed up into one total that you owe McMaster.
You can see this on your payment agreement on SOLAR/MUGSI.

Your entrance scholarships and such can be used to pay off this total. Due to the timing of bursary releases (which is usually in Feb), they don't go towards this.
To use your scholarships towards paying off your balance, just select it as a funding option.

But to answer your question, you don't pay tuition, residence, and meal plan separately. It all gets accumulated into one large sum you owe the school. And scholarships can go towards this.

As Kevin mentioned, it can go to anything. Because all of you fees are summed up into one, as you see it in your payment agreement. Scholarships should be deducted from your total and that should also show up on your PA. Bursaries however, the application doesn't come out until January, I remember it was January 15th last year. And you can also make that go through your total once it's released.
