School,spare time, and real life.
So, I'll be attending school for the Business program.
I've heard from alot of people who attend, or who HAVE attended universities that there is quite a bit of spare time on your hands. Is this true?

Will you have time for your girlfriend? social events? If you stay on top of your homework, do you think you'll be able to find a happy balance?
The last thing I want to do is fail. But I don't want school to consume my life. Anyone here experienced first year Business?
or inputs from other programs?

Yes, you'll have free time. You just need to manage your time.

When you do homework, don't be on facebook/IM at the same time. The only time that I found difficult was my last year of university when I had to juggle grad school applications, interviews, courses, extracurricular activities, and my thesis.

Yes, you'll have a lot of time but it will only seem that way if you manage your time. 168 hours a week is a lot. You probably have less than 20 hours of class, if you sleep 8 hours a day that's 56 hours. Leaves you with a hell of a lot of hours to do homework/study, eat and socialize.

Business I is the hardest thing since MJ's erections for children. You won't have any time to sleep, eat, or fap. I only got to fap for 1.5hours a day, TOPS. Shit sucked.

As long as it wasn't the former, I'm good.

(if anything, it's all the funnier now that he's dead imho)

My downfall was trying to stay caught up to my favourite TV shows. Give up that, and you'll have time for pretty much everything... especially if you don't waste time commuting 2hrs a day.

Asking about having spare time and time for family/friends doesn't mean that the OP doesn't have their priorities straight. It's good to spend time relaxing so that you're ready to learn and study when you need to.

Burning out isn't fun or healthy.

I like the way you put it, thanks.
