Science 2C00
Does science 2c00 cost anything?
I tried adding it on solar today and the popup about course fees that comes when you verify changes showed no change in cost.
Was this a mistake?

You get charged per unit, since it's 0 units it has no cost.

It has no cost, aside from a $15 courseware package you buy at the Tank :p

Is there class every week? I hear that the course is only 7 hours, so I guess it just ends a bit earlier?

That is correct. The classes are "mandatory," but as long as you show up to more than half of them, and you successfully hand in the 3 assignments (they are absolutely the easiest assignments, think Grade 10 Careers class) you will pass (it's Pass/Fail, there are no grades). You also have to complete a resume critique at the Science Careers & Cooperative Education office in BSB, which is actually quite helpful.

Any 0-unit course doesn't cost anything e.g. Science 1A00, 2C00, Hth Sci 1BS0.. etc. The course is only 7 hours. It starts in the first week and continues for 7 weeks finishing up in at the end of Oct/ beginning of Nov. Classes are really straightforward. We covered things like, personality tests, interviewing skills, searching for jobs, resume/cover letter writing- with one new topic each class. Then at the end of the term, you have 4 assignments to hand in and they're due one week after class finishes however, you can do them throughout the term. Also, you have to sign up for a resume critique with one of the SCCE office staff (It was soo useful!) The assignments very straightforward and they barely took 2 hours to write all 4. Also, the courseware is super useful so be sure to get it!

The courseware is only 15 dollars? I thought it was a bit more expensive than that. Is it always the same version btw?

Pretty sure it was 49.95 if I remember correctly. I would assume it's the same, but I haven't compared with previous years to be honest!

I have it in front of me, and it's 162 pages. It's totally worth it.

If it's due to a conflict, email the science office and they can switch you.
