Yes.
Or a lot of photocopying which breaks copyright and they get kind of annoyed if you do that.
You need to hand pages in directly from the courseware, so even sharing is difficult.

I'd say yes but I think it's possible to share.. When I took the course, you could hand in assignment sheets directly from the courseware, or type it up separately. You definitely need it (either your copy or a shared) to complete assignments. Sometimes they ask you to bring it to class, so sharing with someone who has class at a different time might work..

We used the courseware once in class, and didn't have to hand anything in (other than the assignment which has nothing to do with the courseware). Total waste of $50.

By the way, I took this course this semester, and the courseware has changed from previous years.

I opened it once. Definitely not required.

No longer required at all, sucha waste of money + lying that it was required. Though if you'd still like a courseware I can sell you mine for cheap haha (took it this term too)
