Second degree
Hi. I will be receiving my B.Sc at McGill in 2012 and was thinking about going for a second degree in engineering at McMaster.
Just wondering if anyone has tried for a second degree in eng and knew what the minimum gpa requirement was. will i be competing against highschool students for entrance ?

thanks

For any particular reason, or just for the lulz?

From McMaster's Biomed Engineering website they suggest you can come from either a life/health sciences background or an eng background but the main graduate website says eng or physical sci.

I'd say phone a different resource at mac. For example if the girl that didn't know is from admissions, phone the Faculty of Engineering or vice-versa.

Hey! You can definitely do an engineering degree at McMaster, but you would have to apply through OUAC 105 application for the next fall year. McMaster doesn't require a supplementary so all you would have to do is send them your high school transcript and your undergraduate transcript and hope for the best.

My guess is that most of the seats are for high school students so apply to other engineering programs as well. Especially Carlton/Ottawa. Not that well known, but at least it's an option

You get 3 applications from OUAC anyways.

Also check out accelerated engineering degree option at McGill. I'm not sure about the process behind that, but it's faster as it takes around 2 years to complete

Good luck!
