Lol, thanks. I used to always look for outlines when people were asking info on courses so I finaly decided to look for all of them and post them on the forums.

- Psych 2RA3
- Psych 2D03
- Psych 2C03
- Psych 2E03
- Psych 3BA3
- Psych 3BB3
Thank you!

From what I've heard, stats (2RA/B3) is easy but really boring.
Psych 2TT3 is manageable. Quite interesting, sometimes the questions can be confusing, but once you get the hang of the questions it's quite simple. make sure you go to class.
2C03 - I took it with Ostovich, it was a pretty good course. Average in workload.
Psych 2E03 - amazing course with ullal. Go to lectures and you should be fine. Make sure you know your diseases/syndromes inside and out.
;__; I just realized this was from 2008.

Is it a really bad a idea to choose psych courses as my electives?

Careful with taken too many courses that are alike though. Some people can deal with studying the same or similar material all day and they can even perform better that way. However I know that if I had to study the same material all day I would get pretty irrated and bored
|
Oh mann my second term is 5 Enviro courses (allllll boringg stuff) which are all mandatory and I can't change because they only have one core. I'm gonna die of boredom. :'(

Yeah, I'm wondering what my 3rd year will be like. I realized I'll be taking like 5 Linguistics courses. But that's okay, I like linguistics haha.

Random Psych Question, Is Biology 1A03 a prerequisite for 2F03? Because you can still take all other Psych Second year courses with just Bio 1P03/12th Grade Bio, that is atleast according to my understanding. I have these first years on the socsci fb group asking if they should take Bio 1A03 and if so WHEN.

Yeah, the course description is a pain to look at. Here it is broken down:
Six units from PSYCH 1A03, 1AA3, 1X03, 1XX3 with a grade of at least C+ in each, and BIOLOGY 1A03, and registration in a program in Arts & Science, Psychology or the Faculty of Science;
ISCI 1A24
registration in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program
credit or registration in BIOLOGY 1A03, and registration in the Honours Linguistic Cognitive Science or the Honours Music (Music Cognition) program.
Basically after every semi-colon is a new prereq. So if you are in the Arts & Science, Psychology or Faculty of Science you need 2 courses from Psych 1A03, 1AA3, 1X03 and 1XX3 WITH a grade of atleast a C+ in both. You will also need Bio 1A03
If you've taken ISCI 1A24 you can take the course.
If you are in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program you can take the course.
If you are in the Honours Linguistic Cognitive Science or the Honours Music (Music Cognition) program, you need to have taken or are taking Bio 1A03.

So In other words I should tell the first years to take Bio 1A03 ONLY if they plan on taking 2F03(neuroscience) in second year? Because a number of them are taking 1P03 and don't know whether they should take 1A03 as well.

Yeah, it's only for 2F03. Unless they are in Health Sci or in Integrated Science.

Hmm Nop they are all in Social Science, which isn't even listed in this course description. Unless Unless they are the students reffered to as being in the "Psychology" program.

They could be in the psychology program. The department is listed in both Science and Social Science.

Based on having taken 2F03, they should definitely take Bio 1A03, its a very very science heavy course, with no real 'social science' aspect, which is different from psych courses which go both ways in that regard. It is very biology heavy, so as much biology as possible is important for taking Psych 2F03.
