The Secret Files Part 4

CHAD FULLERTON, MACINSIDERS

Continuing the "Secret Files" series, here are some more tips you may not have known! Enjoy

1. New Union Market Items!
Union market now has two new items: soup and fresh fruit! You can now get delicious hot soup for under $2/bowl around lunch time, but be sure to get there fast because it sells quickly! Also, fresh fruit is now available for only $0.50/fruit and the basket is located on the table near the bagels. Apples are just one of the many yummy new fruits you can get... they're cheap AND healthy!
2. CareerLINKS
Are you annoyed by the question "What are you going to do when you graduate"? Are you in third or fourth year and aren't sure what career you want to pursue? Maybe get a job? Grad school? How would you like to be able to speak to alumni who have already graduated from McMaster and are in a field you're interested in? This is possible, using CareerLINKS from the Careers Office located in Gilmour Hall. It's online, and is a great resource to ask questions to people already in the career you may be interested in. Simply click here to learn more. Also, if you aren't sure what careers are out there for you, and what kind of money you'll make, check this out!
3. Free Transcripts
With summer vacation looming not too far away, I'm sure many students are thinking about summer jobs. Most jobs would like to see a transcript of your marks, and you can get one printed or mailed to you for free from the Registrar's Office. How? Fill out this form, simple!
4. Popular Books Collection
With summer vacation comes lots of free time. Do you like to read books? Maybe not now.. since we're all busy with exams, essays, and projects. But if you're living around McMster this summer, you'll have plenty of time to read a really good and exciting book. Mills Library has recently put together their Popular Books Collection, and you can browse the book titles as well as write reviews online by clicking here. Check it out!

5. 2 FOR 1 water!
The Union Market is currently holding a great deal on Evian water. You can get 2 huge 1L bottles for only $3! That price is a steal, and I love Evian water
