So whatever happened with people selling stuff in lectures..are they allowed to still? Because I'm waiting for Econ to start and there's some guy looking like he's going to sell something...just wondering

Hm..ive never had anyone sell stuff to us in the actual lecture. Most things that happen are just people talking about those trips and stuff like that. OR last year during the elections time...dam people singing or doing junk like that.

Wait. Actually last year during my econ night class some girls use to come by and sell cupcakes for some cause...guess that sorta counts

Unfortunately, they're still operating. The best solution I've heard is writing "SCAM" in big letters on their sign up lists, but hopefully they'll eventually be disallowed.

I would refer you to this post by Mary Koziol (MSU President), as well as the rest of that thread.

I found that the groups coming into the classes tend to go into first year classes. I didn't even think about the fact they weren't coming around until I took a first year class in my fourth year and they were constantly in that class.

They were so good. And convenient. Didn't even have to leave my seat for food

actually a few weeks ago a girl came into my class and was selling tickets to yuk yuks. i thought she was just advertising it but she actually went walking around the lecture hall (MDCL 1305 which is huge) and through rows to get to people who wanted to buy tickets while the prof was teaching the lesson.
