Seriously consider taking orgo over the summer
Happened to see some orgo profs the other day who mentioned that since some labs are undergoing repair, the fall offering of organic chemistry 2OA3/2OB3 is going to be packed - and at worst they might have to reject people.

I can't see them actually rejecting anybody from the course, especially not chem department students, but apparently summer orgo is a lot emptier so it might be a good idea to sign up for that instead.

I dunno how much stock to put in their words, it might be just small talk, but still

nw. While theoretically its possible to have extra lab periods throughout the week, coordinators are reluctant to do this for various safety and convenience reasons. It was actually pretty interesting to hear about all the shit that course coordinators need to take into account before making seemingly simple decisions.

Also even if there are extra lab periods there will never be extra lecture periods, so if there is an overflow of students, expect to have no seats in lecture. For a class without podcasts in the second half.

What? If you are in chemistry you are not taking orgo with the plebs. You will be taking 2OC/D3 not 2OA/B3 so the whole premise of the question is invalid.

It's still relevant for anyone outside of the chemistry department, right?
