I already have a much better calculator and yet I gotta dish out 23 bucks (Titles price before tax) for a calc for exams/tests. So far it seems like I only need it this year. I prefer doing mental where I can anyway. And as far as getting 'used' to a calc, it's not a problem for me. There are a few important keys to know and that's about it. :/ I don't think it has as many things on it as a graphing one...eh

I guess I'll buy one... >_>
Assuming both you and the other person never needed the calculator again, what would you do with it? Sell it? Have one person "buy out" the other (thus making sharing kind of pointless for that person...)?

Your program is listed as psych. Therefore, you will have to take at least one stats course (possibly two, I don't quite remember). You WILL need the calculator, and the Casio one is capable of doing many of the statistical calculations you'll need...sometimes doing it by hand is faster, but when you're given 40 numbers to calculate the standard deviation of, you'll wish you could do it in a shortcut way on your calculator! Also, if you don't practise with the Casio and always use your other one for homework, you won't know how to perform these calculations and you'll waste valuable time on a test/exam trying to figure out other things that may seem obvious.
