Short answer - in a lot of ways it's even more fun. The Society of Off Campus Students (SOCS) has a STRONG presence during Welcome Week with many upper year students running tons of events, etc for you!

SOCS is the Society of Off-Campus Students.

SOCS definitely has a strong-presence during Welcome Week so don't be deterred if you're not living on residence.

SOCS won the Welcome-Week cup during my Frosh Week and as far as I know they have a reputation for winning it.

Very big presence, especially when you see all those students walking in a group of orange shirts XD There are SO many Off-Campus Students.
