The Soccer Open trials start somewhere around the 15th or 16th(Edit: They DO Start on the 15th). You'll have to email the coach Dino Perri asap for them. Mind you they select most of their incoming new recruits by scouting the highschool network and as such they directly get transfered to the A section of the soccer camp(alongside returners). People who are in the open trials are part of the B division and most of them get cut within the first 2 days.
Chances of making into the team as a trialist aren't all that good. I would really recommend working on your fitness and balance, as for the natural skill element of your game you are on your own...either you have it or you don't.
Plus the team definitely needs alot more skill and flair and less graft(Even though they won OUA championship last year they hardly scored alot of goals and struggled to find an opening); so even though I'm not the coach I can estimate on what he might be looking out for.
I only tried out in 08 and only arrived very late into the camp and survived 4-5 days and I didn't have a shot of making it via the scouting network because I was an International student.
But good luck and if that doesn't work out participate in fall outdoor intramurals, winter indoor intramurals and then go for an organized league next summer or if you are looking for something less intense and at McMaster then the McMaster Graduate Students Association Summer League.
p.s: If the coach doesn't check his mail on Sundays then just show up Monday Morning!
