Actually, I have my BSW and am in a full social work position, so you can definitely be a social worker without a masters. I know BSWs who work in hospitals, school boards, CAS, etc. That being said, an MSW makes you more competitive in the workforce and a lot of jobs require an MSW so don't be discouraged about job prospects for BSWs.
