Software Eng
Going into second year software Eng. Just wondering how the courses are, and whether the course load is greater or less than first year. And just in general will I be able to have a life outside of school? Also I won't be taking Math 2ZZ3 like the upper years, which I am guessing was a lot of work. Thanks!

Good luck bro. I sure hope you know what you are getting yourself into.

Emm, yeah. It's like the least busy schedule on campus, because Soft Eng courses rarely have any labs... for well known reasons.

2ZZ3 material isn't used by most of the programs that require you to take it, and courses that do cover some topics from 2ZZ3 provide you with enough info so you don't need 2ZZ3.

I recall someone saying that software labs can be done remotely via ssh? Is this true?

Pretty much. Except maybe for courses that Software Eng students should have nothing to do with, like control systems where you need to be present in order to play with hardware.

Most courses just have assignments.

You must not have been paying attention if you think it will get easier each year lol.
