Is solar instantaneous? As in, the moment you drop your course, it will become available? or is there a time span of like 30s or something?

I tried course trading with someone before, and when you drop something, it shows up as available on your screen, but it takes a while for it to show up on others screen. So from what I have experienced, no, solar isn't instantaneous.
