Hey guys, back again. What exactly is Physical Science, how does it compare to Life and Environmental sciences and do you think I would get into it?

Physical Science:

Quote:
Physical Science is an encompassing term for the branches of natural science and science that study non-living systems, in contrast to the life sciences. However, the term "physical" creates an unintended, somewhat arbitrary distinction, since many branches of physical science also study biological phenomena.

It's chemistry, physics and earth sciences.

Environmental Science is Earth Sciences.

Life Science is biology.

Physical science relies a lot more on mathematical calculations too.

So what exactly could I do with physical sciences? And I'm wondering how much will my chances to get in will decrease if I change my application now?

Thank you everyone for the help. No more questions now. I've learned a lot thanks to this forum and I get accepted for Environmental & Earth Sciences already <_< Was surprised because it said you can't get early acceptance if you change your OUAC application afte Feb 5th or something. I changed it on the 18th and got in already. Whatever I'm not complaining

well yeah you can choose to take whatever courses you want. Officially, as part of your enviro sci program, these are the courses you are supposed to take, but you don't have to

http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...nt/pg1489.html

So you can take the chem, physics, bio, math etc. and then come end of year I, you apply for a 2nd year program (just as you would if you were in life sci or any other 1st year program). So just ensure that in picking your 1st year courses, you meet the requirements for any 2nd year program you want to go into. For example, if you want to go into life sci you need to take

Math 1A03 or 1LS3
Bio 1A03, 1M03, Psych 1X03, 1XX3
and 9 units from the Life Sci I course list.

And this is doable from your program.

Yea, because I'm not exactly sure what I want to do (as many people are), so I just want to keep my options open in the field of sciences. Thanks man and everyone. I owe u all ha
