Study End Date Notice
I just finished first year and moved back home. I received a letter from NSLSC entitled "Student End Date Notice" informing me about how my interest will begin to accumulate on the first day after April 30, 2014. It's telling me to provide them with my new study period start and end dates. Am I supposed to do this by applying for a new loan for the Fall 2014 term? I'm not exactly sure what this means. The letter also talks about "confirming your registration". Am I supposed to do this by going to the registrar's office at mac?

Thank you so much in advance. I would very much appreciate any help!

Hi there,

Most students who have received OSAP funding during the study period have also received this notice. It is a generic letter indicating that your specific study period has come to an end. If you are returning to McMaster in September 2014 you can update your status with National Student Loans in two ways:
1. Apply and be approved for OSAP funding for September 2014. The application will be available for the 2014/2015 academic year in the upcoming week or two. You can visit and submit supporting documents to the Financial Aid office in Gilmour Hall, Room 120. Our office will automatically confirm your registration in September 2014.
2. If you are returning to McMaster but not receiving any additional loans, you must confirm your registration by completing a Continuation of Interest-Free Status form and submit it to the Financial Aid office in Gilmour Hall, Room 120 by September 2014 us.pdf

Please feel free to contact our office if you have any further questions or concerns!
