So I'm planning on taking a summer course at another university, most likely york, since its closest to my home. I understand that I may need to apply for a letter of permission, if the course hasnt already been preapproved, but does anyone know when the deadline for me to apply for a summer course at another university is?

It depends on the University. Call York up and ask.

McMaster havn't release their summer schedule yet.

Im also going to take a summer course a york. So far the only courses that are scheduled are in the math dept.

And by the way I took a couse at ryerson last summer ( pre approved by mac) you still need a letter of permission. - Just to clarify since you said " ]I understand that I may need to apply for a letter of permission, if the course hasnt already been preapproved"

Just contacted york.. the schedule will be up mid february along with any important dates/deadlines.

u just hvae to prove to ur faculty that the course there is of equivalent (75% at least) to the one at mac so u get credited

when you take a course at another university does it show up on your transcript as pass/fail or an actual letter grade?

completed or incomplete. and it notes thatyou did it on a letter of permission idicated by an L.

if you need the actual grade value for grad school or something you can contact the university that you did the course at and get it. You do need to senda transcript from the other university to mac to indicate that you passed.

I go to York but want to take a course at Mac. Does anyone know the process ?
