It also depends on your faculty as to what is offered. Some offer very few classes, while others offer many.
If you can, take degree requirements in the summer, so as to leave space for your electives during the year.
If you're in science...take orgo during the summer...that is my hint to you...i have heard that orgo is hell, but easier in the summer.
