So I was planning to take all 4 of my chems summer school (chem 1a03, chem 1aa3, chem 2a03, chem 2aa3). However, I realized that I can only take 1 per summer b/c each one takes 3 months and is a pre-req of the other. So how did people take them all before 4th year so that they will be in time for med school applications/ MCAT? Are there places where I can finish one in 1.5 months rather than 3 months? Secondly, does anyone know if you have to finish all your med school pre-reqs prior to submitting an application? As in, can I finish my pre-req during the summer following graduation?

my guess is that they take chem 1a03 and 1aa3 as electives during the school year and then do both orgos during the summer.

You should double check your course codes. I'm pretty sure med school doesn't require chem 2A03 and 2AA3--those are both analytical chemistry courses.

also, you don't need to have them before you submit your application, i'm pretty sure. acceptances don't come out until they have your final grades.

People would usually start taking them earlier so they have more time to get them all done--but yeah, you definitely can't take all 4 in summer school. I'm not sure online would work either because of the lab component.

oh true, orgo would make sense.

they're not the same course chem people take different analytical courses than we do--they have part 1 and part 2 (chem 2A03 and 2AA3--not chembio 2A03/2AA3).

you can take 2 per summer.... not 1 per summer. take chem 1A03 + chem 1AA3 this summer, and then chem 2OA3/2OB3 next year or next summer. is that what you're confused about??
