Summer School - what time do the classes start?
Hey everyone

just wondering what time the summer school classes begin during the day.
I signed up for some MCAT summer camp thing at Mac and I don't really want it to overlap with summer school so I can take summer school as well (might as well take it while I'm here, right?)

does anyone have a general idea of when the classes usually begin? or does it vary every year?
The MCAT thingy starts in the morning... so... yeah. anybody know?

It varies, but for the most part you'll have two night classes a week from 7pm-10pm, but there are some classes in the daytime.

It depends on the class. Same as during the Fall/Winter terms, you have to check the master timetable to find out when the courses you want are running. There are definitely courses in the morning, though, so you'll just have to make sure you pick a course that doesn't conflict.

As far as I recall, there are only three time slots and they are:

10 am-1pm
6 pm-9pm
7 pm-10pm

Course selection comes out mid-March.

I had genetics from 9am-12pm and then a tutorial from 1pm-3pm...so those definitely aren't the only time slots. I also had stats lab from 6pm-7pm, before our classes at 7pm.

It depends on the course. you can't really tell until the Master timetable is released on February 22nd.

Staying on topic, does anyone know if midterms and exams are during regularly scheduled class time? For example second semester summer classes ended August 6th last year, would the exam be on or before the 6th during class time, or is it random like fall/winter term exams. Same question for mid terms.

all the classes i've done had the final exams during normal class time on the last day. can't say for sure about midterms cause i have never had one in summer class but i would guess they would be during regular time since I never saw an exam schedule that would have listed such information

It would be during class time as well. Class is 3 hours so it's more than enough time to have a midterm. Exams depend on the course, but I would imagine they're also during class time on the last class or during the exam period.
