Yeah, there are. There are adult lessons in addition to kids lessons. Check out the athletics website for Mac.

Hey,

Check out this link:

I'm afraid the beginner lessons for adults are full though.

There is also a pool in Westdale, attached to the Dalewood Junior High. They might have lessons too?

Take it from me, the best way to learn is to just jump in.

Edit: Ew, you have to pay?

In all seriousness, just jump in. Sooner or later, you'll figure out how not to die.

Every summer at Professor's Lake (in Brampton) people go in over their head (literally, I guess as well as figuratively) and drown because they don't know how to swim.

First drowning of the year was a 22 year old and happened this weekend.

I can't help that people are stupid. Try a pool first.

Oh, and bring someone with you?

Edit: Alls I'm saying is why pay for something when you can just Youtube it. Or try it safely by yourself.
If I can't drown in 4 feet of water (which is pretty much my height), then you shouldn't either.

For some reason, I don't think the pool would be free during the summer.

I'd say hop in lake Ontario but this is Hamilton after all... haha. You'd sooner die from the pollution. XD

(Just so we're clear, I'm not suggesting hopping in a 10 foot pool alone. Bring someone with, obviously).

(sad that I need a disclaimer, LOL).

Those lessons just seem way OP.

Thode isn't too far from Dalewood, if you're not short like me. Dalewood is like a 5 minute walk to ETB/ITB. So probably like 10 minutes total for a regular person.

you say that youve never had any lessons before but are you afraid to go in the water (im an instructor and there are people who are afraid) or is it that you just want to be taught how to swim the right way?

Oh. ETB is that big glass building right on Main and real close to Emerson. I was just using those as landmarks since I had to walk from Dalewood to ITB/ETB many times. ;P
