Hey all!
I was wondering what steps I should be taking to switch streams in engineering.
I am in 2nd yr of Software n Embedded and I've figured out(a bit late) that my interests lie in mechatronics, so would anyone be able to guide me as to what I should do to make this happen?
Many of the embedded and tron courses overlapped this year, so at least I have an upper hand over there..
any help would be appreciated!

When I switched streams, I had to wait until the summer and write a letter addressed to the chair of the department, in your case Dr. Farmer. In the letter I had to outline why I wanted to switch, why did I think I would be a good choice for the program etc. After submitting the letter CAS considered my application and decided which credits would transfer to my new program

Garrett pretty much said it all. You have to write a letter to the department you are interested in and describe why you want to switch streams. Mechatronics is not a 4.0 program, so you might need a slightly higher than a 4 this year (not sure).

Ned Nedialkov is the associate chair of the CAS department, email him and describe your situation and ask him what average you need in order to switch to tron. He should be able to help you out.
I am basing this on a similar situation that happened to my friend. He wanted to switch streams and emailed the associate chair and then he got back at my friend and told him the procedure and what average he needed to get.
