Is it possible to switch over to first year computer science? I hate engineering, and im doing pretty bad in random stuff courses which i dont need for software engineering like Material Science and Drafting etc, and because of the heavy course load I do bad in math and other courses. I love software and I was wondering if there is a way to go into first year computer science rather then move on to engineering second year.

It may be possible to switch though I don't know if you could switch back.

I'd say do what some of us have done: tough it out and then enjoy your program once you're in there.

Why not go into software eng? (You can still talk to Sally Williams and get it done!)Its com sci + an eng degree right? Im sure it wont be as vigorous as 1st yr since you're probably not going to need physics or chem, just programming and math...

Like Danny said, just hold on..we only have a little over a week left (I still cant believe its almost over )Work a little harder and just get the job done..you really dont want to start 1st yr all over again
