Switching Programs After Semester 1
Hey,

I'm just about to finish my exams for my first semester at Mac in my program which is Life Science. To be honest, I just don't see myself doing science for another 3 years (+4 for med) of my life.

I was wondering if someone could help me with the protocol of switching programs for semester 2. I'm thinking about switching to business?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Academic Advisors are your friend
You may have to repeat first year commerce in order to transfer.
Keep in mind you could always minor in business and go for an MBa after Life Sci.

It's not a dumb question, it's normal to not know these things in first year. So once, you go to that office, just say that you need to speak with a student advisor and they will help you out.

Very true. An old grumpy substitute teacher for data management once told me its always easier to go down than to go up in life, shoot for the highest and the hardest program when applying to uni, than if you change your mind there is plenty of room to adjust.

As a lifesci, the skills, knowledge, and even the formulas you learn can be applied in business. However business students will have a much harder time adapting to science.
