taking a course at another uni
hi,
i heard from somebody that if u take a course (ex: organic chem) at another university, mac won't use that grade in GPA calculation but it will be recorded as completed on the transcript. It seems too good to be true, so is it true?

if u don't get accepted into any of the 4 programs u choose for 2nd year, what is ur option? Will u have to continue in simple B Sc, and reapply for Honours program in 3rd year?

thanks

1. ye i think its jus placed on ur mac transcript as a pass/fail.. but a grade might be available if u wnt to use it for grad school or whatever
2. i think if u dont get accepted to what u apply to you just get put into a program by default that u meet the requirements for.. so i assume if u are a life sci student u get placed into bsc(3.5 avg) or honours(6 avg) bsc life sci
the programs more or less have the same courses.. just different unit requirements.. so i dont see why switching into honours would be an issue if the CA is met.. an academic advisor would be able to give u definitive answers tho
