Taking more than 30 Units
Howdy y'all,

I was just wondering if it is possible to take over 30 units in one academic year, for there are a few required courses I would like to take in this coming year (ie, to complete some prerequisites sooner rather than later) which would not conflict with my other courses. I know that first-year engineering is over 30 units, so is it then possible to voluntarily overload?

I know this probably sounds mildly insane, but.....alas, I am insane. (crazed laughter)

Hm, well then...

However, I heard from a friend that SOLAR only allows you to register for 30 units. (or is that not right?)

I believe that engineering students are pre-approved to overload since out required courses make it mandatory.

I think people from other faculties need some sort of permission to do so, but I would check with your academic advisor to be sure.

You need at least a 7.0 average in your last academic session; talk to your academic advisor/department for permission. They will tend adjust it so that you can pick more than 30 units in SOLAR.

If we had to follow the 30 unit rule, a B.Eng would take like 6 years:S A man can only binge drink so many bad tests away.
