teriyaki place at student center
anybody else feel like they're getting ripped off by the amount of food they serve there?

I ate there all the time in first year. I could never eat all they give you, it's enough for 2-3 meals.

They're skimpy on rice, and rice is fairly cheap.
They give really small portions of chicken and/or beef.
It's really nothing special, but it's not out of the ordinary, considering it is a franchise.
$5 meal MAX, as opposed to the $8 they charge.

Most of the places on campus are the same price as any other fast-food place...
Kinda sad to see how quickly you went from super excited to come here to being resentful, it's only been like 6 weeks since school started >_>

i ate at the chinese food place in commons a lot last year. i think it was like $7 for a base (of rice or noodles) with 2 sides and it was enough for me and i a decent size guy. the quality is ok, but since thats the closest thing ive had to real chinese food since im from an area with no diversity it was good enough for me

The teryaki place is really popular and used as much as any other food place, so as long as people are willing to pay for the conveience/quality, its not a rip off. Compared to other places? Yup, not as much bang for your buck, but you can't quickly go to other places as you can by just zipping through the student centre.

it is overpriced but it is mac. sizes seem ok/standard. i know for sure tehy through alot of the cheap stuff (bean sprouts in)
