text books and titles
I know that everyone says you should wait until after your first class to buy your books, but I was just wondering if anyone knew when titles will have an updated list out of the books needed for each course. because right now they still have all the courses from last year up (Biology 1AA3 instead of the new Biology 1MO3 for instance) I really like to look over the course material in the summer before I actually do the course so taht i have a better idea of what will happen in the class. (I did that every year in highschool too! haha) thanks!

ok this might be a stupid question, but for textbooks, are we allowed to buy textbooks off people from the previous year? i mean, i know some people do this, but i also heard that every year they change the textbooks as to avoid this and make people buy the brand new ones.

It depends, some people maintain the same edition a while longer. Some new editions have merely slight changes. If it's a courseware, don't buy it off of someone else because I find that coursewares are never the same. Also, once you're more experienced in book buying at Mac you can definitely buy them before classes begin. I always buy them before the first class. However, in first year I accidentally bought the wrong book-- luckily, I was able to return it because it was still concealed in its package.

i would suggest at least waiting for the course list to come out from titles. It will cleariy indicate what books are optional and what edition it is now in. If its a different edition, then you could wait till class starts to see what the professor says. Some have small changes to the textbooks, but others have much bigger changes.
