Is there a campus dentist?
I heard that dental plan is included in the MSU fees. Is there a campus dentist that I can go to ? How exactly does it work, do I show them my student card, or do I have to fill out a form before my appointment?
Thanks

I believe you need to print out a form and you bring it with you and they need to fill some stuff out. I think its any dentist really.

Thanks goodness someone posted this link.
So it is 100% FREE if you are a mac student? How about for cavity fillings or x-ray work, do they charge you for those?

I went to the Campus Dentist for a few flossing cavities. They didn't freeze my teeth properly (feeling of a drill on an unfrozen tooth REALLY SUCKS) and they made my filling too heavy.
I went to Yonge Eglington Dental with Dr. Fisher after that (he teaches dentistry at U of T occasionally) and they fixed my problems (namely the heavy filling), but I'd never go back to that other dentist again.

Are the dentists on campus still in training?

I just don't think they're very established. Dentistry is a field where you can pass all the exams but still be a really crappy dentist. Shaping a filling is like carving a sculpture, it's an art

Shaping filling is an art? I agree.
But general stuff like proper freezing of teeths is quite crucial. It seems like the dentist was not at all attentive or lack experience if he made you endure that experience.
Dentists are the only one that can really make anyone cry. Properly trained dentists understand this and takes thing slow. One small negative experience can leave a everlasting impression on the patient.

Yeah I'm not sure if they were to blame on that one because I metabolized it all rather quickly. I received about 4 more shots to get through the rest of it lol.
