Thesis vs. Research Seminar
I was jut wondering what's the difference between the two?

I know you need to get a supervisor to do a thesis, but is that also necessary for a research seminar course?

Hey, the difference between the two is the thesis is an independent study with a supervisor whereas a research seminar course is like taking a class. With a research seminar, there is a prof already assigned to that specific seminar and in the course there are few guest lecturers, usually a few projects and writing assignments. I dont remember if they have midterms but they most likely dont have an exam.
