Third Year Psych electives
Any insight on some good psych electives? A lot of them don't have reviews on here so if anyone's taken PSYCH 3AG3, PSYCH 3T03, PSYCH 3M03, PSYCH 3F03 PSYCH 3HH3 or PSYCH 3VV3, shed some lighttt on them thanks!

Hmmm.. take 3BA3 (positive psych) It makes you feel really happy about life. Plus Dr.Day teaches it and he's awesome! Overall, fairly easy & extremely interesting

There's nothing happy about life. I am suddenly reminded of a quotation by Thomas Hardy... >.> "Happiness was but the occasional episode in a general drama of pain."

The prereq for positive psych is personality (psych 2B03). Although he doesn't have a practice question bank online, he does give you practice questions for the first midterm... He didn't for the second one bc he said the format/type of questions will be the same. Exam was a joke though. 60% of it had questions directly copied/pasted from the midterms

And Dr. Day is awesome! He's just one of those profs who reaaaaally know what they're talking about & really has a way with lecturing.

lakhim says thanks to myroodle for this post.

Psych 3F03 is really interesting though challenging! If you take it make sure you are willing to put in effort Journal articles are given every week. No book. This applies if you have Dr. Daly of course.

Psych 3M03 is a bit dry but Dr. Cat is a funny prof. without intending to be...easy course too. Everything is on the book...EVERYTHING! And you are sure to find an old and cheap copy somewhere since he uses it all the time.

Psych 3T03 is fairly easy but the course load this year was fairly heavy--3 midterms (lowest dropped) and 3 workshops worth 2% each. We also had tons of guest lecturers, articles to read and text readings.

Anything on here is subject to change!

Dr. Day is my favourite prof hands down. His teaching style, his passion for psychology, coming out of the class actually feeling like I've learned something (which is pretty much what I base a course&prof on), his organization of the courses he teaches, his extremely quick responses to questions from students and getting marks back from midterms and the exam.. I love him!
