thursday
Hi! For the first day (Thurs), I have CHEM 1A03 T28/L28 slotted right in the morning. I've heard labs (and maybe tutorials) don't begin right away... so what should I do? Are we expected to go to the first lecture, then be given info as to which days for lab/ tutorial for the following week?

Yes, that is correct. You wait until the first lecture.

You can also check the course page on http://avenue.mcmaster.ca (log in with your MacID). Most courses are on there already and the better profs have posted when labs and tutorials will begin.

Classes don't start until Thursday. Some of them might not even be up by then.

Menzies says thanks to starfish for this post.
