My timetable for Term 1 does not include a slot for a Bio 1A03 lab. Is this normal ?
Everything looks so.. out of order D:

Hmm.. it should be there - it's an every-other-week (EOW) lab, so look for EOW (in red)

Oh, it says "BIOLOGY 1A03 1D Comp: L99 TBA" @ the bottom of the page (sorry didnt see it)
What does that supposed to mean?
Am i supposed to fit that lab component in, or is that a suggestion, or.. ?

From what I understand, that space is for additional information - so, your lab component location and such seem to be undecided right now, hence the TBA (To Be Announced)? I don't think the lab would altogether be omitted, maybe there are conflicts right now. Check the master timetable to see when the labs are, and whether in your personal timetable you've got other classes in those spaces.

If the conflict isn't the problem though, I suggest you call McMaster so they can manually fit you into the lab or something. You don't want to end up never getting a lab slot!

.. I just checked the Master Timetable & it doesnt show any timings for the L99 slot; instead it has TBA posted there as well D: The problem is, that they've given me a Math 1LS3 core-tutorial (they go hand-in-hand) that doesn't suit my timetable. When working with timetables I found that only one option, fits my timetable without any classes clashing withone another D: I just hope I find that option to be available on Aug 10th :( or else I'll have to drop out of my elective.. :(

Seniors, from prior experience, do you know if students are packed into these slots at capacity or if there is still additional room for students to change into those slots.
Ex. If Im logged into MUGSI & SOLAR by 8:30 and change my CLTs around, will there be room for me to get the CLTs I want or will I have to wait for someone to drop their CLT.
Thanks

hey, i'm a froshie here in eng, who took microecon in term 1, and macroecon in term 2 for my electives
if it isn't too much to ask, can i get some help and advice with my schedule?
should i change things around? on mugsi right?
how do you know what prof you got?
i'm more of a morning person, so i'd prefer my classes earlier
also, i'm in matthews, if that makes any difference :S
and sorry if these questions were asked already...didn't get time to read through all the previous posts!
thanks in advance!

Being a morning person myself, I'd suggest keeping your cores earlier in the morning, so that they are completed around late noon. At most, keep 3 cores running one-after-another (with a 10-15 mins. break so you can reach from one class to the other). Just like highschool, these are lectures that you will attend. Quoting seniors on MI, I've been told that it is to an advantage if you try to fit in your labs for later in the week. That way, you can ask questions and better prepare yourself from those who have completed the lab earlier in the week. As for the Professor's name, I believe they are posted on the Master-Timetable along with timings for the various CLTs of the courses. Hope this helps

Morning person or not, whatever you do, avoid classes before 10:30 lol! Uni is not highschool, trust me NO ONE likes morning classes. I am a morning person myself and I thought, "not a big deal, ill have 3 classes back to back starting at 8:30, it'll be just like high school". It wasn't. It sucked. You never really want 3 classes back to back trust, you want the time to read over your lecture or print out lecture notes if you forgot or finish your lab assignment or finish your assignment whatever it is, you'll need sometime before and between classes to do something.

Most courses will have at least one section with room to move around. The more open sections there are the faster the movement, so if there's only 1-2 sections open you might want to check daily (if not more) to see if the section you want has opened yet.

There's no way you can resolve that conflict. Geog 1HB3 and Comp Sci 1FC3 will also have conflicting cores.

Also can you still change your core/tutorial if only one professor is teaching it?
