You put your chem lab and tutorial at different times. You need to register in the same section number for both, and then they alternate.

yeah, they'll both be at the same time.

Why do they have to alternate? Because that's the way the chem department organized it. Both labs and tutorials are EOW, and really, this frees up an extra hour in your timetable, thus reducing the chances of a conflict.

EOW doesn't automatically mean you have lab one week and tutorial the week after. Sometimes you have just labs that are EOW and they don't alternate with anything.
