That's why you have to limit yourself! haha. Don't get too distracted by all the wonderous things MAC has to offer. Remember how much money you're paying and how much your parents will destroy you if you are playing games instead of studying!

Less how much money...way more how much my parents will destroy me!
If I were to consider how much I'm actually paying...it's enough for rez. And since it is very, very beneficial that I am not living with them....DESTRUCTION is a factor. hahaha. I'm probably exaggerating, I believe I have a decent amount of self control....I should be more concerned about my sleep cycle do to downloading rather than studying

rawr x_x DC++ is awesome and all, but they don't offer the breadth of stuff available on torrents. I'm in residence (MK) and am TRYING to use utorrent but apparently ports are all blocked off and such so my connection is painstakingly slow. Does anyone have a solution to this? I'd be GREATLY appreciated.

If you internet is extremely slow, it most likely you went over your bandwidth for the day and you are getting your internet throttled.

I haven't gone over the bandwidth limit (not even close). I just can't get any incoming connections on my torrent client x_x
I heard torrents are working alright over at Les Prince, but I'm not exactly certain why or how

No, you probably didn't go over your limit. UTS uses port-blocking and packet-shaping software to throttle torrent traffic specifically (as well as other P2P apps like Limewire, etc.). It will work, it just takes a long time - and I really doubt they'd work at Les Prince and not other places, since the changes would likely be made to the entire residence network; they'd probably have to go out of their way to specifically exclude a building. I'm sure the DC++ library will grow more soon, though - it's only been a week.

One might use something other than utorrent if that were the problem....although it is likely that you're going over the bandwidth because Vuze is slow as welll.
