Traditional vs Apartment Style First Year
Hi, I'm going to be studying General Engineering first year starting September and I have to apply for residence by next week. I know this is a very common question and it varies depending on the person.

As a first year, I do hope to socialize and make friends living on residence. However, the dilemma is I can live in a suite/apartment style with 1 friend I know and 2 other strangers that I most likely get paired with. Rumors are that it is harder to make friends in apartment style. The other option for me would be to live in a single room where it is supposedly easier to socialize.

Is it true that there are more opportunities to socialize in a traditional style residence or does it really matter how much you put yourself out there?

It matters how much you put yourself out there, not where you live.

Yeah, I agree with Old.

Plus it's a bad idea to make a choice based on social aspects. You want to focus on what helps you study better, now how much ***** you smash.
