Trendmicro login failure?
Why is it that every time i try to download the Trendmicro antivirus software, it never works? I punch in my mac ID but it just says there was a login failure. Anyone know why? Is it just me or is Trendmicro not available yet?

The best free antivirus software I've come across is Avast! I've tried AVG, I've tried Microsoft Security Essentials and even a few paid ones, and Avast! is the one I like the most. It's url blocker is very handy for stopping some of the stuff that floats around these days.

I also recommend getting Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware (I believe there is a free edition). It does not have an active firewall, just runs a scan. However between Avast! and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware I have had no issues, and haven't paid a cent.

Reading the info on that page, it seems it's only for employees of the university and not for the undergraduate students (unless you buy it from titles, which is for like $10 for the entire year).

Look under 'eligibility'.
