Definitely. Pretty much everyone who gives this show a fair shot thinks it's the best show ever. I'm on my third viewing and still noticing tons of details and subtleties that went over my head before.

I've heard good things about The Wire so I tried watching the first episode a couple of months back. It was really hard to get into so I ended up turning it off. I assume that it takes a while to get into?

Thanks for the tip. I haven't even heard of it. I'll definitely have to check it out.
I just checked out the Wiki and pretty much everyone has at least guest starred on this thing, I wonder why I never came across it before this.

So, we're mega tv compatible...I love house, the office, Grey's, Private practice and OTH. And I grew up to Arthur and Magic School Bus
EDIT: Also love So You Think You Can Dance. Just getting into Big brother (I know I'm like 10 years late), and I've been watching Triple Sensation because one of my sister's friends is on it.

Anybody watch Chuck?! It's soooo good.
As for Scrubs, one of the greats to come out of NBC (along with Friends, The Office, and 30 Rock), but I was kinda bummed that they're trying to prolong its life. The season finale would've been PERFECT as it is.
I'm more of a comedy guy, but Kings was shaping up to be amazing as well.
and Hell's Kitchen (omg season six!). and Top Chef. I could keep going on and on and on
OK, I watch too much TV.

It's... just sad. It's making little girls put a bunch of shit on their faces. That's not the worst of it though. It's just building that idea from a super young age that you have to be thin and look/dress a certain way to be beautiful - which will probably result in serious self-esteem issues later on.
I saw a clip of it, where a mother put her fraternal twins in a pageant. She was like, "I think Breann will do better than Ashlynn, since Ashlynn's nose is bigger and she doesn't have as bright a personality." The mother was really open about it too, so the Ashlynn girl feels like crap about herself. It's terrible really.

Just watched 20 minutes of it.
The best dressed girls were those in age appropriate dresses such as when one girl had her hair down and a nice flower in it, or when they wore those big ballgown princess dresses. It's clear that they're being taught respect for themselves as future women and being taught that beauty doesn't mean wearing short shorts and shaking your butt at the age of 4.
Unfortunately, those weren't the kids they focused on.
Those other kids are being objectified and their minds and bodies devalued and the saddest part is that they do not know this is happening.
