Unassigned Residence
Has anyone who received an unassigned room email in late June gotten a room assignment by now?
I got my email June 23rd, after I had paid the deposit on time, had over an 80% average etc, and now I'm wondering when we will find out. It pisses me off that I haven't heard anything, and am past the June 30th full deposit refund deadline.

This isn't going to be helpful, but I'm in the same boat as you. Above 80 avg, paid on time and everything, yet I don't get a room. I also live 1 hr away from mac, so I need rez.
I think we'll have to just wait, it says room assignments will be completed end of June to Mid-July...
so we have quite a wait. http://housing.mcmaster.ca/Residence...ant_Dates.html

Contact Housing and Admissions as soon as you can so that you can find out your status. I know a lot of people weren't able to get in on a waiting list because too many students were guaranteed residence. But anyway, to get a definite answer, contact [email protected] r.ca

You haven't been placed because they guaranteed too many kids res--more people accepted their offers to Mac than expected. You were probably just really low on the lottery. Not sure what they're planning on doing, so you should email and ask if you haven't heard anything.

Yeah, just e-mailed them. Hopefully I'll hear back by the end of tomorrow. I'd be pretty pissed if they end up giving all the kids who were guaranteed res into SOCS.

if u got over the 80% and handed in everything BEFORE the deadline ull get a room for sure just chill. the GUARANTEED res thing has one for high achievers is the single room. The normal guaranteed means that ull just get a room for sure
