The French were the architects ; the construction workers were expatriates who are considered subhuman.

I want to visit Dubai. Looks really nice. That and it probably has the highest concentration of expensive cars in the world.

I've heard from a friend that it isn't really a fun place to go unless you have unlimited money.

I was born in Abu Dhabi and moved to Mississauga when I was 12 in 2001. Maan ever since I left everybody's been Dubai this, Dubai that. But really, when it came down to it, City Centre + Dubai Shopping Festival was all you really needed to have there. The 2 hour drive between AUH and Dubai was always the best. Heat + Sand + Sandstorms = sweeeet.
But yeah, there's so much more to the new buildings and skyscrapers. For instance, I haven't had an authentic shawarma since leaving the UAE.

I won $50 when I bet my father that the SLR 722 would beat the Murcielago SV.

Lol either a) your father doesn't know as much about cars as you do or b) he felt like giving you a gift
Ofcourse I knew the SLR even though I hate it and any version of the SLR(what an ugly monstrosity) would still end up beating the Lp670 simply because of the sheer genius and power of that massive V12 in it! On the track though the 670 would have won any day!
I love the SL Class though!
I was sad when the other ugly monstrosity I hate- Veryon beat good old Maclaren though, even if it did lead in the start; that massive engine pulled through eventually!

That relaxed speed limit caused an over 50 car pileup in the past year.
Two sets of laws: One for locals, one for expatriates.
That sort of mentality has lead to relaxed rules, and the ideology that money in your wallet means freedom under your feet. Everything is okay if you don't get caught and if you do, and you can pay it off, or if you do and you're a local, it's fine.
Perhaps if the laws focused more on unifying the country than increasing the population of the "chosen", fewer bodies would be scraped off highways.

Actually, the SLR 722 has a V8, so it's not too farfetched to believe that the fastest lambo ever made (with a V12) would beat it. That being said, I'm glad it didn't cause now I'm up $50
When it doubt, bet on benz.
I like the SL-Class too, although my personal favourite is the SLK class, although I'm biased haha.

OH MY GOD!
I left Dubai (my granddad's had the same apartment in Abu Dhabi for 30 years) and moved to Mississauga when I was 11 in 2002.
YES YES and Global Village!
Dubai was beautiful as it was. It's a shame Shaikh Zayed died.
It felt as though I was reading the response of a pod of myself.

I don't think speed is the main problem in accidents. It just intensifies them. Bad driving causes accidents. When people that don't know how to drive well try and go and drive at 150km/h, they will probably get into an accident, but that's not really the speed's fault, it's their own fault for being bad drivers.

lol *facepalm* why was I somehow confusing/assuming that the AMG V12 used in the Zonda would obviously be found in the "hypercar" SLR as well? Heck that V12 If i'm not wrong was put in those ridiculous 1990's SL73's as well right?
Wierd why they wouldn't use it in the SLR :S
p.s: lol do you own a SLK?
