URGENT! Course Selection Medical School
Hi guys, I'm going to be attending McMaster Life Sciences this fall, and I have a question about American medical schools and McMaster courses.
I was looking at the requirements for some American medical schools, and a lot (if not all!) of them say that they require one year of physics with lab.
So I was wondering if I took Physics 1L03 and Physics 1B03 in first year, if it would meet this requirement.
Thanks,
Gagan

No. 1L03 doesn't have labs.

You would have to take 1B03 and 1BB3 to satisfy your lab requirement.

Okay, Thanks!
Would you recommend taking Physics 1L03 as a mark booster first semester?
Thanks

No point of taking Physics 1L03 if you are going to take both Physics 1B03 and 1BB3. There are other courses that are considered "mark boosters" not just Physics 1L03

"What are you going to do after graduation?"
"MED SCHOOL!", says any first year life sci student.

If you dont' mind Physics and are good at it . I suggest you take 1L03, it'd be a great way to prepare for 1B03, because 1B03 is crazy difficult and something most first years leave till 1st year summer or even 2nd year to take. But if you hate physics and can't stand it at all, than its up to you..

Would it be better to take physics 1B03 in first year then 1BB3 in summer school?...Just so I can take social science elective courses?

What do you mean by "better"? As long as you satisfy the pre-requisites, I'm pretty sure they don't look at when you took it.
