Can you try and replicate what happened? Does it happen again when you visit the homepage? If so, screenshot for me please. I haven't seen this bright red background popup before. What anti-virus are you using?

For the record, I have never experienced any problems with the site Chad. I use an ad-block plus though, so that might make a difference.

I just clicked on a thread, and the page wouldn't load for me and then I got a pop-up from Norton saying an attack on my computer has just been blocked.

Update: There is no redirecting or 'virus' code on MI. We've had the server and code checked. It is coming from a third-party either through banner codes in one of the third-party rotations or a plugin we're using on our homepage. But I haven't been able to recreate the problem so if you get this message (only a handful of people have) then please email [email protected] om with:

1) What page/url you were on
2) What browser you are using at the time
3) Time it happened (date and time)
4) If you remember what advertisement was loaded on the page
5) A screenshot (if possible)
6) If you retrace your steps and go to the same page.. does it happen again? If not, try erasing your Internet Cookies and visiting the page again... anything?

Please note if you do see it... IGNORE and close the window. It is a fake scan.

I think I experienced it maybe once on a school computer but never on my own laptop, and I just have AVG Anti-Virus Free.

Ok. I haven't received any other reports of it happening again since I've removed the square ad rotation on the homepage. It seems it was one of the ads in there, and it only came up if you were using IE.
