Volunteers needed: Superhero Training Academy

Hi,

The Superhero Training Academy (STA) is a program run by the Pulse for children with special needs from the ages of 5-16. We are currently looking for volunteers for our spring session which runs every Saturday from May 7 to June 25 from 10-11 am.

As a volunteer you wil be paired with a child and are required to plan and execute an exercise program with this child. The program focuses on improving fitness fundamentals, such as balance, flexibility, coordination and strength, while also promoting the development of social skills, such as listening to instructions and working co-operatively in groups.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with kids and earn volunteer hours.

Qualifications: Current Standard first aid and CPR certification

Additional requirements: A police clearance and one reference

If interested or have additional questions please contact the Program Coordinator Marissa Matijasevich at [email protected]

I'm currently a volunteer with STA and it's a great program. I highly recommend it. I've had a wonderful experience working with the kids.

I would like to volunteer. I tried contacting that email address but it seem to be invalid. Please let me know how I contact the program coordinator.

The e-mail address is: [email protected]
In the post, there is an extra j (typo). That's probably why you haven't been able to contact Marissa.

Nishan Anand says thanks to albalks for this post.
