Down to 47 - looks like the upper year list has moved again!

I JUST GOT INTO RESIDENCE!!
I was number 15 if that helps.....
But it didn't say which building I'm in or anything like that, can anyone help?

Congrats! Glad to hear you got in - just wish there wasn't this stupid upper year list to contend with - first year list is definitely moving faster!

Unfortunately i think the upper year list will move slower because a large chunk of theupper years on res includes CA's and IRC reps so they won't be dropping out. I'd say this would amount to.. around 100-200 people. Also, there are just less people to drop out compared to the number of first year spots.

3700 total spots in residence.
2900 spots held for first years.
800 spots held for upper years.

But there is definitely hope, even if it takes longer. Good luck!

I think it should be that once all of the rooms are assigned then those on the waiting list s/b first come first served. It really sucks, especially for transfer students, who have never lived in Hamilton and know nobody but still have to wait for upper years to drop out. I think transfer students should have the option of being put on the 1st year list since they are theoretically first year at the university. Oh well, 40 people have dropped out so far - just need 47 more to go! Fingers crossed.

urhh im still at number 5, i just wanna cry...its hasnt moved at all!!blahh ..probably wont find out till September (N)

They probably have not assigned a room to you yet, but rather just updating to let you know that you have a spot. It will probably get updated shortly.

I got in!! My portal still says I am number 20 though. I started at 140 on the first year list originally.

My son got in as well - shows he's still #46 on the upper year list - he started out at #87 - paid the $600 to make sure - my luck the system would go down before I got my payment in - he is pumped and I don't have to spend my holidays looking for off campus housing! Hopefully everyone else got in. If it's not a single room, I guess it depends if the room that opens is for guys or girls and who is on the list ahead of you. Good luck to everyone!!!
