It definitely isn't necessary, but some weeks it can be fun. I like when they discuss symbolism within an episode, and when they make bad puns like calling the group a ricktatorship/glenocracy/carlmunism

I wish it wasn't so obvious Merle's fate was sealed as soon as he tried to seek redemption. I was really hoping that the show would try something different with the trope, but I guess it was enjoyable nonetheless. I feel like he should have been able to do a lot more damage to the Governor personally during his encounter. Merle's shown himself to be plenty capable of close-quarters combat in the past, and iirc isn't the Governor just some random guy?

, as a season finale, really? That should have happened like last season.

This was a good episode, just not a good finale. The two positives i have about this episode are:
1) Carl is really becoming the kid soldier from the comics and i really want to see him progress down this path.
2) I cant wait to see a Governor next season that is unhinged from the Woodbury community. He is no longer tied down, he has lost his last marble, and we are going to see the psychopath that is portrayed in the comics i think going forward with David Morissey doing an excellent job at it!

This show makes me doubt my ability to survive during a zombie apocalypse...

I was getting sick of hearing her spew that line, i just didnt want anyone to die.
Stfu you were the reason people died. Glad she is gone, sad that she didnt live up to the comic version of her character though.

i didnt really like her either, but it was totes sad :(
